![]() The puzzles range from incredibly easy, like pulling a lever down, to more complex and multi layered puzzles. The puzzles are based on logic and are mostly easy with their solution usually found nearby. ![]() Gameplay is quite casual, mouse only without time pressure where the difficulty comes from solving the puzzles or finding parts of them. An enjoyable experience visiting different time periods with nice looking graphics over the 31 levels. And using it does not affect the achievements in any way (on the contrary, there’s one achievement awarded for using a hint). Additionally, there’s a pretty nicely done hint system that shows you exactly how to solve a puzzle, in case you’re lost. It’s the kind of puzzles you’d expect to find in a hidden object / escape room game, but in their easier versions. They’re very fast to solve, taking mere seconds and only a few iterations. In this mode you won’t have to find postcard pieces either Normally you’ll have to either input a correct sequence (with the code being displayed somewhere visible in another part of the level), or play with some levers / move tiles to specific positions. For those that don’t enjoy the puzzling experience at all, the game offers an alternate mode (“Kid Mode”), where the dioramas are fully solved, with all the cats visible in the open – you’ll only need to click and collect them. One full playthrough takes a fair amount of time – around 5h-6h – because of the hundreds of mini puzzles to solve. Gathering all cats and postcards enables access to a secret level (assuming that you can crack the code for it). Which are well hidden and thus much more difficult to spot. There are 28 levels in total and aside from collecting all 280 cats, there are some additional collectibles to find – “postcard pieces” The difficulty is fairly easy and constant throughout the game, since most of the puzzles are very clear and intuitive. They are usually trapped deep inside the central building of the level, and in order to reach them you’ll have to solve various puzzles and open secret doors or other boxes / containers. Each level is a beautifully crafted 3D diorama in which you’ll have to find 10 cuddly cats. Take your time (heh), and enjoy the trip! Professor Tim E. ULTIMATE VERSION The Steam version is also the ultimate version of the game and features new levels, more detailed 3D graphics, new controls, widescreen support, extra content, and a few surprises! RELAXING SOUNDTRACK Listen to the relaxing sounds of the period while exploring. But remember, pets are a many year commitment, not just for a season.CUTE CATS Save almost 300 cats hiding in the most unusual of places. ![]() So, in spirit of the Halloween season, let's make the image of a black cat a good thing! Picture this, a cozy fall evening in front of the fire, a beautiful ball of midnight-furred cat curled up in your lap. Why blacklist these cats when they already have already have a harder time getting adopted in comparison to other cats? Surely, they need all the time and attention they can get. The biggest threat to black cats is one they face year around: a life spent in the shelter. There has been no evidence to show that black cats are more at risk in October than they are any other time of the year. While it's understandable and is clearly an idea born out of concern for these animals, it is an idea based on rumor and speculation, one that only hurts the adoption rates of black cats, no matter the good intention. It's the duty of animal shelters, some believe, to take these cats out of adoption even as early as a month before the holiday. It's a myth we've all heard: black cats shouldn't be adopted around Halloween. ![]() As pervasive as these stories are (and damaging to the reputation of these great pets), there's an even more dangerous myth hurting their cause even to this day. The image of a black cat conjures up thoughts of bad luck and familiarity with the supernatural in many cultures. Everyone knows the superstitions that surround these beautiful animals, and the history of the black cat is one that's stepped in legend and lore. With Halloween on everyone's mind, let's take a moment to discuss the black sheep of the felis catus family - or rather, the black cat. Contributors to Our New Pet adoption Center ![]()
